Callaway Rogue ST Drivers

The new Callaway Rogue ST Driver line represents a significant leap for a manufacturer that continues to push the limits of metal wood technology. Callaway’s new lines include four different models, each of which is tailored to a different type of golfer. One constant among each of the Rogue ST drivers, however, is an impressive combination of speed and stability that makes it easier than ever to hit the ball long and straight. Returning to the new Rogue ST line is Callaway’s patented Jailbreak Speed Frame. New and improved, this frame adds stability to the club in multiple directions, delivering more speed at impact across the entire face.

In terms of available models, the first is the Callaway Rogue ST Max D Driver, an extremely forgiving, draw-biased driver designed for golfers with slower swing speeds battling a slice off the tee. Second is the Rogue ST Max Driver, a slightly draw-biased, highly forgiving driver designed for high and middle handicap golfers looking for more performance on mishits. Next, Callaway is offering the Rogue ST Max LS Driver, a low-spinning, low-launching driver designed for higher-skilled golfers looking to reduce the spin numbers of their tee shots. Finally, the manufacturer is rolling out the Rogue ST Triple Diamond LS Driver, a compact, extremely low-spinning, and highly workable club designed for expert golfers searching for a driver with professional tour-like specs.

Callaway Rogue ST Fairway Woods

Callaway Rogue ST Fairway Woods

Callaway’s new Rogue ST Fairway line includes the longest collection of fairway woods that the manufacturer has ever produced. Consisting of the Rogue ST Max D, Rogue ST Max, and Rogue ST LS models, the line offers up three different choices for golfers based on their skill level and preferred ball flight.

The Callaway Rogue ST Max D Fairway Wood is not only draw-biased, but it is also the company’s most forgiving fairway wood option, ideal for middle and high-handicappers seeking forgiveness and slice-eliminating technology. On the other hand, the Callaway Rogue ST Max Fairway Wood fits an extremely wide range of players due to its forgiving, mid-launching, and slightly draw-biased attributes. This fairway wood also boasts the largest amount of stock loft options in the entire Callaway Rogue ST line. Finally, Callaway is offering to golfers the Rogue ST LS Fairway Wood, a club optimal for lower handicap players due to its compact shape, high workability, and overall low-spinning nature.

Callaway Rogue ST Hybrids

Although the appeal of hybrids tends to center around their versatility, Callaway has emphasized the massive distance gains that it has built into its new Rogue ST Max hybrid line. The line itself is composed of four different models: the Rogue ST Max, the Rogue ST Max OS, the Rogue ST Max OS Lite, and the Rogue ST Pro. All four Rogue ST hybrid models feature a high-strength 455 Face Cup, an A.I.-designed innovation that optimizes the club’s speed, launch, and spin.

The Callaway Rogue ST Max Hybrid is slightly draw-biased, the longest hybrid Callaway has ever produced, and ideal for golfers of all handicaps looking to hit the ball farther. The Callaway Rogue ST Max OS Hybrid has an oversized, draw-biased clubhead that offers extremely high forgiveness to all golfers, particularly the middle and high handicappers Callaway designed the club for. Similar to the previous model, the Callaway Rogue ST Max OS Lite Hybrid sports an easy-to-swing, lightweight clubhead perfect for golfers with low swing speeds looking for increased ball speed. Finally, Callaway offers the Callaway Rogue ST Pro Hybrid, a compact, shallow-faced, workable club ideal for low handicap golfers that prioritize workability and accuracy.

Callaway Rogue ST Iron Sets

Callaway Rogue ST Iron Sets

As one of the largest equipment manufacturers in golf, Callaway understands that different golfers have different needs for their iron sets. Proof of this fact can be found in the company’s release of their new Rogue ST products. Included in the Callaway Rogue ST line are four different iron sets, each one designed with different golfers in mind. The four Callaway iron models are the Rogue ST Max, the Rogue ST Max OS, the Rogue ST Max OS, and the Rogue ST Pro.

The Rogue ST Max Irons are hyper-long, high-launching clubs that will fit well in the bags of almost all middle and high handicap golfers. Next, the Rogue ST Max OS Irons are oversized, highly forgiving, irons best suited for higher handicappers. The Rogue ST Max OS Lite Irons are lightweight versions of the Rogue ST Max OS’, and will perform most optimally in the hands of those with slower swing speeds. Lastly, the Rogue ST Pros are hollow-bodied players performance irons perfect for low-to-mid single-digit golfers searching for more speed.

Callaway Epic Drivers

The new Callaway drivers feature more of the company’s investment into Artificial Intelligence, driving explosive ball speeds and forgiveness through unique designs that only a computer could come up with. In the 2021 Epic drivers, Callaway used Artificial Intelligence to refine its trademark Jailbreak technology and create the Jailbreak A.I. Speed Frame. This construction connects the sole and crown together and sits behind the new A.I.-designed Flash Face SS21, providing both horizontal and vertical stability throughout the clubhead.

The Epic Speed driver is the fastest of the three Epic driver models due to its Cyclone Aero Shape and will fit into the widest range of golfers. The Epic Max is the most forgiving of the three models and will be especially beneficial for golfers that want some extra help launching the ball into the air and help on off-center contact. The Epic Max LS is the lowest-spinning head, but is also built with high-forgiveness properties to help the high swing speed player that wants added forgiveness on mis-hits.

Epic Fairway Woods

Callaway Epic Fairway Woods

Callaway also used Artificial Intelligence to refine Jailbreak Technology in the fairway woods, forming the Jailbreak A.I. Velocity Blades. This structure adds stability to the clubhead both vertically and horizontally while adding a boost of ball speed just behind the A.I.-designed Flash Face SS21. Overall, the Epic fairway woods deliver incredible ball speeds on center strikes, but also provide consistency when the club “twists” at impact thanks to a mis-hit.

The Epic Speed fairway wood includes a more forward center of gravity and a mid-size head shape, which will likely be a better fit for a high swing speed player looking to reduce spin or work the ball. Meanwhile, the Epic Max fairway wood has a larger footprint with more weight brought deep and back in the clubhead to promote high launch and forgiveness.

Callaway Apex 21 Hybrids

Jailbreak Technology has been featured in Callaway hybrids over the years, so it makes sense that Callaway would also refine Jailbreak in its new Apex 21 hybrids. Just like the Epic fairway woods, the Apex 21 hybrids include the Jailbreak A.I. Velocity Blades, a structure that adds stability to the clubhead both vertically and horizontally while adding a boost of ball speed just behind the A.I.-designed Flash Face SS21.

Of the two Apex 21 hybrid models, the standard Apex 21 is designed for the widest range of golfers and will provide the high launch and forgiveness that many players are seeking in a hybrid. The Apex Pro 21, meanwhile, is designed with a more compact, iron-like appearance that will offer more workability and a lower launch thanks to a more forward center of gravity.

Apex 21 Irons

Callaway Apex 21 Irons

Callaway brought its Artificial Intelligence into Apex irons for the first time with all three of its Apex 21 iron models. The A.I.-designed Flash Face Cup architecture is unique in each iron model and each loft to create high ball speeds and ideal spin. Additionally, all three models feature a forged 1025 carbon steel body and patented urethane microspheres designed to provide excellent feel.

The standard Apex 21 irons fall into the players-distance iron category, packing a distance punch but also delivering workability and lower spin for golfers in the low- to mid-handicap range. The Apex DCB 21 irons fall into the game-improvement iron with slightly stronger lofts and a deep cavity back to offer high launch and forgiveness for a player in the mid- to high-handicap range. Lastly, the Apex Pro 21 offers a compact, blade-like appearance that will appeal to more consistent ball-strikers.

Apex MB and X Forged Irons

Callaway always delivers with its irons, so it’s no surprise that the new Apex MB and X Forged models check every box in the players iron category: soft feel, sleek look, and ultimate workability. The Apex MB model features a compact blade shape with a thin topline and stunning chrome finish. The high performance 20V grooves are designed to deliver consistent flights and spin from any lie. The most notable innovation is the new weight screw located in the center of the clubhead that allows for precise swingweight adjustments while keeping the center of gravity consistent.

Meanwhile, the Callaway X Forged CB irons provide a little more forgiveness in the players iron category, featuring a shallow cavity construction. The shape is still compact with a thin topline and small amount of offset. The forgiveness comes from tungsten weighting, both internal and external, that adds more stability to the clubhead on off-center contact. Additionally, the external tungsten weighting is visible in the form of a weight plate that allows for swingweight adjustments without changing the center of gravity.

Big Bertha B21 Drivers

Big Bertha B21 Drivers

The Big Bertha series from Callaway has been a favorite for higher-handicap golfers for decades. New in 2020 is the Big Bertha B21 series, headlined by a new construction designed to fix a slice. The Big Bertha B21 driver includes many of the same technological innovations that have made Callaway metalwoods so great the past few years, such as Jailbreak technology (two internal bars that connect the sole and crown just behind the clubface for improved stability and speed) and Flash Face SS21 technology (clubface architecture designed with Artificial Intelligence).

The new construction focuses on the center of gravity. While most game-improvement clubs include a low and deep center of gravity to increase launch, that design can also increase spin and sidespin. The Big Bertha B21 driver features a low and forward center of gravity inside a high-MOI clubhead to reduce spin while maintaining the excellent forgiveness Big Bertha products are known for.

Big Bertha B21 Fairway Woods

Just like the drivers, the Big Bertha B21 fairway woods are also designed to reduce a slice. Inside the Big Bertha B21 fairway wood clubhead is draw-biased weighting to combat the slice or block. Callaway also worked to help golfers get the ball off the turf more efficiently with these fairway woods by making the faces shallower and increasing offset.

The Big Bertha B21 fairway woods also include Jailbreak technology and Flash Face SS21 technology, which are both designed to improve ball speed and forgiveness. Jailbreak features two internal bars connecting the sole and crown behind the clubface. Meanwhile, Flash Face SS21 is a clubface architecture designed with the help of Artificial Intelligence.

Callaway Big Bertha B21 Hybrids

Callaway Big Bertha B21 Hybrids

The Big Bertha B21 hybrids feature many of the same innovations as the driver and fairway woods, including the internal draw-biased weighting, Jailbreak technology, and Flash Face SS21 technology that all combine to promote straight ball flights, high launch, and exceptional forgiveness.

Unique to the Big Bertha B21 hybrids is the dual MIM’ed tungsten weights placed in the sole near the back of the club to further increase launch. This technology is aimed at golfers who struggle to get the ball high enough to hold the green with a hybrid.

Callaway Big Bertha B21 Irons

Big Bertha irons have always included a large profile, wide sole, and notable offset. Oh, and forgiveness -- lots of forgiveness. That hasn’t changed with the Big Bertha B21 irons. In fact, Callaway says the Big Bertha B21 irons exude a super game-improvement profile more than some previous models. The Big Bertha B21 irons have both more offset and wider soles than the Mavrik Max irons.

The clubface of the Big Bertha B21 irons, has also been created with the help of Artificial Intelligence for a more optimized Flash Face Cup that provides help at the most common areas of the clubface where high-handicappers make contact. The Tungsten Energy Core also helps with forgiveness and launch by deepening the center of gravity.

Odyssey Triple Track Putters

Odyssey Triple Track Putters

New from Odyssey for 2020 are Triple Track putters, which feature the Triple Track alignment that has been so popular and successful on Callaway golf balls. More specifically, three lines are centered prominently on the putter head to help players improve their alignment, which is crucial when it comes to having success on the greens. Triple Track putters also utilize a new Microhinge Star insert that delivers a firmer feel than Odyssey’s White Hot inserts.

Stroke Lab Technology has also been implemented into the Triple Track design, as 40 grams of weight has been removed from the middle of the shaft and re-positioned under the grip and in the head to help promote a better stroke. There will be seven Triple Track putters in all for golfers to choose from, which vary in terms of head design from blades to mallets, as well in the amount of toe hang they offer to meet the needs of players with different stroke types.

Odyssey Stroke Lab Black

Odyssey had tremendous success with its original Stroke Lab putters when they were first introduced and is now back with a new Stroke Lab family that it is calling Stroke Lab Black. Most notable about the Stroke Lab Black lineup is that each model features an elegant black PVD finish, as well as Odyssey’s new Microhinge Star insert, which will offer a fimer, more responsive feel than the White Hot Microhinge insert that was utilized in the original Stroke Lab putters.

Of course, as the name would suggest, Stroke Lab Black putters feature Odyssey’s Stroke Lab Technology, which was designed to help golfers improve their strokes by removing weight from the center of the shaft and redistributing it to the head of the putter and the butt end of the grip. In all, there will be 13 Stroke Lab Black options to choose from, and with different head weights, shapes, and neck designs available, there will be a model to fit any player’s needs.

Callaway Mavrik Drivers

Callaway Mavrik Drivers

Callaway first introduced Artificial Intelligence as part of its design process with the Epic Flash drivers, and it is now taking that technological investment to a whole new level with its new Mavrik driver franchise. More specifically, each of the three models in the Mavrik line and each loft option among the three available models has its own unique Flash Face SS20 clubface architecture, which creates optimal performance for different player types.

Mavrik drivers also feature Jailbreak Technology to maximize energy transfer at impact, while FS2S titanium has been used in constructing the clubface to create more ball speed. In terms of the three available models, the standard Mavrik will fit the widest array of golfers, while the Mavrik Sub Zero was created for high-spin players and those with more club speed. Finally, the Mavrik Max is the most forgiving option and it also offers movable weights to create a draw bias.

Callaway Mavrik Fairways

What Callaway has done from an R&D standpoint with the Mavrik drivers has also been carried over into the fairway woods, and the same three models -- Mavrik, Mavrik Sub Zero, and Mavrik Max -- will be offered to fit golfers with different performance needs. Arguably the most unique of those three options is the Mavrik Max, as this is the first time Callaway has created a fairway wood that offers players with a dedicated clubhead design that enables a draw bias.

Like the drivers, each Mavrik fairway wood model and each of that model’s available lofts features its own Flash Face SS20 architecture to provide optimal performance. Additionally, the Mavrik fairways feature clubfaces that were constructed using high-strength, maraging C300 steel, which helps promote faster ball speeds, while Jailbreak and Face Cup technologies maximize energy transfer and help maintain ball speed from impact locations across the face.

Callaway Mavrik Hybrids

Callaway Mavrik Hybrids

The new Mavrik hybrids feature for the first time from Callaway a clubface that has been developed using Artificial Intelligence. And as is the case through the rest of the Mavrik lineup, each hybrid model, as well as all of the available lofts, has its own distinctive SS20 Flash Face construction, with the end result being optimized performance for players who best fit into each of the three Mavrik hybrid options.

The Mavrik hybrids also feature Jailbreak Technology to maximize ball speed, and each of the three models offers unique shaping and playability. The standard Mavrik is a mid-size profile with a square toe and was developed for effortless launch and impressive distance. The Mavrik Max offers a larger footprint and the highest MOI of the three models, while the Mavrik Pro is the most compact of the three options and offers shaping more similar to a fairway wood.

Callaway Mavrik Irons

What’s the key technology story surrounding Callaway’s new Mavrik, Mavrik Pro, and Mavrik Max irons? If you’ve been paying attention, you’re probably thinking it's Artificial Intelligence. And you would be correct, as Callaway has utilized AI in its iron development for the first time. As is the case with every product offered in the Mavrik lineup, each iron model and each iron within a set also has its own Flash Face architecture to optimize launch, spin, and trajectory.

Between the three models, there’s a great choice for any golfer. Mavrik is a game-improvement iron that excels in terms of distance and forgiveness, Mavrik Max is a super game-improvement offering that delivers high launch and incredible MOI, and Mavrik Pro is a compact, workable option that was designed for better players. Each Mavrik iron model features Flash Face Cup Technology to deliver fast ball speeds, while urethane microspheres provide improved feel.

Epic Flash Star Lineup

Epic Flash Star Lineup

Callaway first introduced its "Star franchise two years ago, and it’s now back with a brand new lineup of Epic Flash Star golf clubs. The idea around the Star family, which features drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, and irons, is to create lightweight but ultra premium products to help golfers with more modest swing speeds pick up the added distance that they crave, a goal that is accomplished in many ways.

But the key ingredient is to utilize lighter, premium materials and components -- heads, shafts, and grips -- to create products that are easy to swing but offer exceptional balance. And the benefits are many. The lighter clubs help players create more clubhead speed, which certainly has value, but they also make it easier for golfers to square the clubface at impact more easily and hit the ball higher, two key ingredients when it comes to maximizing distance.

Epic Forged Irons

Callaway would describe its new Epic Forged irons as the most premium offering in its current iron lineup. And purely in terms of look, it’s easy to see why, as these irons are truly elegant. That said, they also feature about as much technology as an R&D team could ever hope to pack into an iron head, with the end result being golf clubs that flat out deliver in terms of distance, forgiveness, control, and feel.

Providing the exceptional sound and feel at impact are a 1025 carbon steel body, as well as urethane microspheres that absorb unwanted vibrations. Meanwhile, a 360 Face Cup has been implemented to allow the clubface to flex more at impact to increase ball speed, and Variable Face Thickness promotes more ball speed on off-center strikes and consistent spin. Also, suspended tungsten weighting helps optimize performance with each club through the bag.

Epic Flash Hybrids

Epic Flash Hybrids

Building on the incredible success that its Epic Flash drivers and fairway woods have enjoyed since being released in January of 2019, Callaway is adding to the Flash family with new Epic Flash hybrids. The Flash hybrids feature many of the same distance-enhancing technologies that work so well in the Epic Flash drivers and fairways, which wasn’t easy for engineers to accomplish given the dramatically smaller head size of a hybrid.

Most notable is that the Epic Flash hybrids feature Jailbreak Technology, which utilizes two internal bars that connect the sole and crown to maximize energy transfer on shots played from across the clubface. Additionally, a carbon crown saved weight in the construction process and that weight was re-distributed within the clubhead to increase MOI. And finally, internal tungsten weighting optimizes launch and spin conditions to promote both distance and control.

Epic Flash Drivers

Flash Face Technology is the biggest storyline when it comes to the new Epic Flash drivers, as Callaway utilized Artificial Intelligence to develop a faster, more efficient clubface. The new face works in unison with Jailbreak Technology to provide players with improved ball speed when compared to Rogue and the original Epic, as well as enhanced forgiveness. Also, a new sliding weight track is providing more customization options without sacrificing MOI.

As was the case with the original Epic drivers, there will be a standard version and a Sub Zero version available. The standard version has a slightly larger profile than the Sub Zero, which was designed to help high-spin players get their spin rates down. To do that, weight has been moved more forward to reduce spin and also promote workability. That said, like the standard Epic Flash, the Sub Zero will feature ample forgiveness and fit a wide range of players.

Epic Flash Fairway Woods

Epic Flash Fairway Woods

It isn’t just the Epic Flash drivers that feature Flash Face Technology; the fairways woods do as well, although it should be pointed out that the design of the two faces is quite different given the way that players hit those clubs. The Epic Flash fairways also feature Jailbreak and Face Cup technologies, which combine with Flash Face to deliver explosive ball speed, an area in which Callaway has long been an industry leader when it comes to fairway woods.

In addition to there being multiple loft options to choose from, players will also have the option to decide between the standard Epic Flash fairways and the Sub Zero models. The standard versions will feature a slightly larger footprint and naturally high launch conditions, while the Sub Zero has movable weights in the sole to help players control launch and spin. It also has a smaller, more tour-inspired shape that will likely appeal to better players seeking workability.

Apex 19 Irons

For the first time in three years, Callaway is back with new Apex irons, a franchise that has been one of the company’s most popular through the years. Two models will be available, the Apex 19 and the Apex 19 Pro, both of which have been forged from premium 1025 carbon steel. The 2019 Apex would best be described as a players distance iron, while the more compact Apex 19 Pro is a true players iron that was designed for more talented ball-strikers.

Despite their simple yet elegant look and exceptionally soft feel, there has been significant technology implemented into the design of each model, including 360 Face Cup technology, which enables the clubface to flex more at impact to deliver faster ball speeds from across the face. Tungsten weighting and a new spin control VFT face in the short irons are additional features that have been utilized to ensure optimal performance through the set.

Apex Hybrids

Apex 19 Hybrids

In setting out to create the new Apex hybrids, Callaway relied heavily on feedback from its stable of touring professionals around the world. Not surprisingly, the end result is a hybrid that was designed for and will likely appeal most to better players. And that starts from a shaping standpoint, as the 2019 Apex hybrid features a compact profile that was designed to be the ultimate long iron replacement for lower-handicap players.

Also noteworthy about the new Apex hybrid is that for the first time in what Callaway would classify as a players hybrid Jailbreak Technology has been implemented in the design to promote faster ball speeds. Additionally, a bonded hosel design that enables flatter lie angles and a more neutral CG position have been chosen to ensure that the Apex hybrids won’t be draw-biased, something most better players definitely don’t want in a hybrid.
