ST 220 Drivers
Mizuno’s drivers have taken a giant step forward in the past couple of years with its new Forged SAT2041 Beta Titanium clubface material, which is 17 percent stronger than commercial 6-4 Titanium that is commonly used in drivers.
New in the ST 220 drivers is an Optimally Placed 20-gram stainless steel weight. In the ST-Z 220, it is placed below the sole surface in the rear center of the head, providing a huge MOI boost. The ST-Z 220 also features a modern players profile at 460cc, with the shape pushed slightly lower to the ground for easier launch and low-to-mid spin. Of the two ST 220 models, the ST-Z 220 will fit the most golfers, promoting a neutral trajectory and high launch.
Meanwhile, the ST-X 220 Driver is designed for golfers with either moderate swing speeds or golfers seeking help correcting a slice, thanks to the stainless steel weight being positioned more toward the heel to promote a draw bias. ST-X 220 Fairway Wood

ST Drivers

The JPX 921 Hot Metal Pro irons feature a sleeker appearance with the same construction as the JPX 921 Hot Metal irons. Both models fall into the game-improvement category and are designed for exceptional distance, high launch, and solid feel.

For the first time ever, Mizuno has implemented its Chromoly material into a fully-forged iron. The new Mizuno JPX 921 Forged irons have been forged through Mizuno’s Grain Flow Forging process to deliver the exceptional feel while also producing excellent distance. The clubface has been made 0.5mm thinner for Mizuno’s fastest peak and average ball speeds ever from a fully-forged iron.
The Stability Frame, while not as prominent as it is in the JPX 921 Hot Metal and Hot Metal Pro, still stabilizes the clubhead through perimeter weighting and toe bias. The back milled slot has also been made 6.4% wider to increase forgiveness on mis-hits.

The JPX 921 Tour shape has been refined slightly, but it maintains the impressive combination of precision, consistency, and stability. These irons are forged through Mizuno’s patented Grain Flow Forging process from 1025 soft carbon steel for tremendous feel. Additionally, Mizuno narrowed the sole for cleaner turf interaction and made the area behind impact slightly thicker for improved feel. The new Mizuno JPX Fli Hi is designed to replace the least reliable long iron in your bag. Its new, wide footprint with updated materials generate a more playable ball flight than some of the past Fli Hi hybrid models. Upgrades in ball speed and launch have been made partially due to the new 17-4 stainless steel clubface and 431 body, while a re-engineered Wave Soleplate has expanded the sweet spot area and improves stability at impact. These hybrids include a deep center of gravity, which creates less work to generate the launch necessary to get the ball to land softly on the green.

Mizuno made its first splash in the driver market in many years in 2019 with its ST190 drivers and is now looking to build on that success with the new ST200 lineup, which will feature three unique options to meet the needs of different player types. Each model features a forged BETA titanium clubface, which helps create more ball speed and improves durability, while Mizuno’s Wave Sole technology helps protect ball speed on off-center strikes.
As for the available models, the ST200 features a fixed back weight to optimize launch and provide high MOI, but it would still be considered a low-spin head. The ST200G has adjustable weights to help players dial in the performance they’re looking for and will be a good fit for high swing speed players who want to move the CG forward. And finally, the ST200X was created to provide high launch, forgiveness, and a draw bias for players with moderate swing speeds.

In addition to its three new ST200 driver models, Mizuno also has two new ST200 fairway wood options available. Both models feature a maraging steel clubface that offers both strength and flexibility to improve ball speeds, and the variable face thickness pattern has been thinned out in areas to promote more ball speed from a larger portion of the clubface. Low, deep CG positions also promote stability at impact and optimal launch conditions.
That said, there is also quite a bit that’s different about the two fairway options. The ST200 features a more compact, tour-inspired profile that will provide workability and appeal to a wide range of players. The ST200X, on the other hand, offers a larger footprint and a lightweight design that was made possible by a titanium body. It will work best for players with slower swing speeds who need help getting the ball in the air and squaring the face at impact.

CLK hybrids have always enjoyed niche popularity, but Mizuno is hoping that the sweeping design updates that it has made in the 2020 CLK hybrids will make them more attractive to the masses. Included among the new innovations is a thinner maraging steel clubface that is creating faster ball speeds, while a wider profile creates higher launch and makes it easier for players to stop the ball on the green on long approach shots.
Also of note, the Wave sole has been made more flexible in the 2020 CLK models, which will help maintain ball speed on mis-hits, and an adjustable hosel that allows for +/-2 degrees of loft manipulation ensures that players can fill the gaps in their bag that they’re looking to address. There will also be four loft options for players to choose from at 16, 19, 22, and 25 degrees in their standard settings.

For the first time in many years, Mizuno is getting back into the putter game, and it’s jumping in with both feet with its high-end M-Craft lineup. Each putter in the M-Craft line is constructed using premium 1025 carbon steel and then fully CNC milled to offer a pure roll, shaping precision, and a soft, responsive impact feel. The available models also provide changeable sole weights so players can achieve the exact weight, feel, and balance that they’re looking for.
There are three head shapes to choose from in the M-Craft line, the I, the II, and the III, and each option is available in blue, black, or satin finishes. Brand new from Mizuno is the MP-20 lineup, which includes three different models for players to choose from. Included among that grouping is the MP-20 Blade, an iron that represents everything that has made Mizuno so popular through the years.
The MP-20 blade is a classic muscleback design that has been created for players who are looking for control, precision, and feel. More specifically, the MP-20 MMCs are forged cavity back irons that feature compact blade shapes, thinner toplines, and limited offset to promote workability.
That said, tungsten and titanium weight has been utilized to provide better results on mis-hits through the set and specifically in the long and mid irons, The cavity of the MP-20 MMCs features a 12-gram titanium plate behind the sweet spot to promote feel and forgiveness, while 12 grams of tungsten in the sole of the 4-7 irons provides higher MOI and improved launch.

The final member of the MP-20 family is the brand new MP-20 HMB, which represents a more modern construction approach within what has been throughout the years a very traditional MP franchise. But with players distance irons growing increasingly popular with each passing year, Mizuno felt it was time to crash that party with its own MP entry into the category.
The 2-iron through 8-iron feature a hollow construction with a high-strength Chromoly clubface, a combination that delivers faster ball speeds and significant perimeter weighting. The 9-iron and PW, meanwhile, are semi-hollow and offer a carbon steel clubface to promote control. Additionally, each clubface and hosel through the set is forged to provide classic Mizuno feel.

Also new from Mizuno are T20 wedges, marking the first T-series wedge from the company in three years, which should make diehard Mizuno fans quite happy. T20 wedges feature Mizuno’s proprietary Grain Flow Forging to provide the soft, crisp feel that Mizuno is known for, but a hint of boron has been included in the process to offer more durability and groove longevity.
The T20 wedges also feature quad cut grooves and laser face milling to provide optimal spin based on loft through the lineup, while for the first time Hydro Micro Grooves are also being milled into the face to channel away moisture and debris, which creates more consistency in wet conditions or from the rough. T20 wedges are also being offered in three finishes -- Satin Chrome, Blue Ion, and Raw -- and are available in lofts ranging from 46 to 60 degrees.

Mizuno has long been known for creating some of the best irons in golf, but even it would be the first to admit that grabbing the attention of the golfing world with its drivers has been difficult. Mizuno engineers, however, believe that is going to change with the release of the new ST190 and ST190G. Both models feature a lightweight carbon crown that enables an optimal CG position, while a new SP700 titanium clubface is thinner and creating more ball speed.
Mizuno has also utilized what it is calling an Amplified Wave Sole, a design feature that they believe protects ball speed on off-center strikes. Much as is the case with the ST190 drivers, Mizuno wanted to provide players with as much ball speed as it possibly could with the new ST190 fairway woods, a fairway lineup that features the ST190 and ST190 TS models. Making those faster ball speeds possible is an HT1770 maraging steel face insert that is lightweight and strong but also high flexible, with the result being increased flex at impact for more distance.
Additionally, an Amplified Wave Soleplate provides ball speed protection on off-center strikes and is also especially effective in terms of keeping spin rates down on low-face strikes, which are common misses with fairway woods. In terms of the two models, the ST190 features a bonded hosel design, while the ST190 TS features an adjustable hosel that players can use to optimize performance.

Over the course of the last few years, however, it has been the JPX 900 Tour that became a favorite of many touring pros and talented amateurs.
